Size guide

Find your fit

A little time spent checking your measurements can make choosing the right size much easier. At Bellbird Lane, we want you to feel comfortable and confident in what you choose. Because every style can fit differently, please also check the measurements on the product page before ordering.

To choose your size with confidence, measure close to the body without pulling the tape tight, and compare with the chart below. If you're between two sizes, we suggest the larger one for fitted cuts and the one you usually wear for relaxed knits.

Size AU Bust (cm) Waist (cm) Hips (cm)
XS 6 80–84 60–64 86–90
S 8 84–88 64–68 90–94
M 10 88–92 68–72 94–98
L 12 92–96 72–76 98–102
XL 14 96–100 76–80 102–106
2XL 16 100–104 80–84 106–110
3XL 18 104–110 84–90 110–116
4XL 20 110–116 90–96 116–122

How to take your measurements

  • Bust: around the fullest part, with the tape level all the way round.
  • Waist: around the narrowest part of your natural waistline.
  • Hips: around the widest part of your hips.

Knitwear and cardigans are measured flat (tolerance ± 2 cm). Compare with a cardigan you already own and love.

Size Bust (cm) Shoulders (cm) Sleeve (cm) Length (cm)
S 100 48 52 62
M 104 50 53 63

2XL 122 59 56 67
3XL 128 62 57 69
4XL 134 65 58 71

Shoes use European sizes. Stand on a sheet of paper with your heel against the wall, mark the tip of your longest toe and measure in centimetres. Between two sizes, choose the larger.

Shipping & Delivery

Last updated: 18 October 2026

1. Where we deliver

We deliver to street addresses and PO boxes across Australia only. We do not ship overseas at this time.

2. Cost

Tracked delivery is free on every order, with no minimum spend.

3. Processing and delivery times

  • Orders are processed and dispatched within 1 to 3 business days (Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays). Orders placed before 2 pm AEST on a business day are dispatched the next business day.
  • Our pieces are shipped from the warehouses of our overseas production partners, so delivery usually takes 8 to 15 business days after dispatch. Regional and remote addresses can take a little longer.
  • These times are estimates. Carrier delays, weather, peak seasons (November to January) and customs processing can add days; they do not entitle you to a refund unless the parcel is lost (see section 7).
  • If an order contains several items they may arrive in separate parcels on different days. You receive tracking for each parcel.

4. Tracking

As soon as your order is dispatched you receive an email with a tracking link. Tracking can take 2 to 4 business days to show the first scan while the parcel is handed to the carrier; this is normal. You can also follow your parcel on our Contact page by sending us your order number.

5. Your delivery address

  • You are responsible for giving a complete and correct address, including unit number, and a phone number the carrier can use.
  • Address changes are only possible before the order is processed: email us within 12 hours of ordering. Once dispatched, the address cannot be changed.
  • Parcels returned to us because of an incorrect or incomplete address, or because they were not collected, are handled as described in our Returns & Refunds policy (refund of the items less the carrier's return fee, or re-delivery at your cost).

6. "Delivered" but you don't have it

If the tracking says delivered and you cannot find the parcel: check your letterbox, porch, garage and with household members or neighbours, and contact the carrier with the tracking number, as parcels are sometimes scanned shortly before arrival or left in a safe place. If it has not turned up within 3 business days, email us: we open an investigation with the carrier, which usually takes 5 to 10 business days, and if the carrier confirms the parcel is lost we send a replacement or refund you in full. Parcels left at a location you chose through the carrier's "authority to leave" option are delivered when left there.

7. Lost or damaged in transit

  • If your order has not arrived 25 business days after dispatch and the tracking shows no delivery, contact us: we claim with the carrier and send a replacement or refund you in full, your choice.
  • If the parcel arrives damaged, keep the packaging, take photos of the parcel and the items and email us within 7 days of delivery. We replace or refund at our cost.

8. Customs and duties

Prices include GST where applicable. Our orders are below the import threshold for personal purchases, so no duties or extra fees are payable on delivery within Australia. If a carrier ever asks you to pay a fee, do not pay it; contact us first.

9. Questions

Email support@bellbirdlane.shop with your order number. We reply within one business day, Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm AEST.

A welcome from our family

We believe getting dressed should feel like one of the easier parts of your day. At Bellbird Lane, we choose pieces that bring comfort and quiet elegance together, with our mothers, aunts and friends in mind. Take a moment to check the fit and find something that feels like you.

With love, the Bellbird Lane family
Description

Elegant. Natural. Timeless. Made in a soft, breathable knit and finished with delicate floral embroidery, the Brigitte turtleneck brings character to the simplest outfit. The high neck gives warmth and a long, graceful line, while the relaxed cut skims the figure without ever clinging.

Why you'll love it

  • Elegant turtleneck: extra warmth around the neck and a refined silhouette
  • Hand-feel embroidery that lifts a plain knit
  • Relaxed cut that skims rather than squeezes
  • Wear it with tailored trousers at work, with jeans and boots on the weekend, or under a wool coat on cooler mornings

Colour: multicolour embroidery on cream. Sizes: XS to 4XL.

Care: machine wash cold on a gentle cycle, dry flat or on a hanger. Fit: true to size; between two sizes, choose the larger for a relaxed drape.
Materials & care

Materials and care instructions: see the care label supplied with each product. In general, shake off loose sand, spot clean where appropriate and let items dry completely before storing them.

“Would I feel comfortable and confident wearing this on an ordinary Tuesday?”

That's the one question we ask before any piece joins the Bellbird Lane collection. Not just for a photograph or a special occasion, but for the school pickup, a coffee with friends or a quiet afternoon to yourself.

We look for soft knits, thoughtful shapes, useful pockets and cuts that give you room to move. If you're unsure between two sizes, open the size guide above or write to us.
